2022-23 Los Angeles Clippers!

Many have picked the Los Angeles Clippers to pose the biggest threat to the Warriors coming out of the Western Conference in back to back seasons, and there are a lot of different reasons for that. Kawhi is Back! And assuming he’ll have a healthy season, that means the Clippers have one of the best 2-way basketball players in the world, along with Paul George, who is one of the best offense generators in the world. The Clippers gained a big acquisition this Summer in signing John Wall, who, even though isn’t the same athlete he once was, I believe he can possibly still average in the ballpark of 17 and 7 assist, which is great for your point guard on a team with that type of talent. They return a slew of role players including one of my favorite combo guards Reggie Jackson, who will most likely be coming off of the bench for John Wall. They’ll continue to start the solid Ivan Zubac, at center, while spacing the floor with either Marcus Morris or Nicolas Batum. The Clippers have a plethora of weapons on their bench. Terrance Mann, Luke Kennard, Norman Powell, Robert Covington, Amir Coffey and Brandon Boston will also provide great minutes when given the opportunity. The question for tenured coach Ty Lue is: Who will make up his 7-9 man rotation? Because I just named 13 players. While there is strength in numbers, guys also want to play, and finding the right guys who mix together is key to creating a winning culture and producing positive results. I don't know if the Clips will indeed upset my Warriors, BUT they do potentially have the talent, experience and coaching to shake up things out west.
